RV Nomads

Life is an Adventure

Picture of Paul and MaryMy name is Paul Van Geel. My wife Mary Connell and I are full time RV'ers and enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new people. Mary and I have some very close friends that we miss while we are traveling. We try to stay in touch as much as possible and are using this medium to help us to that end. Our old friends and new ones are very dear to us. I judge a persons wealth by how happy they are and how many friends they have.

Mary and I started living full time in an RV in April of 2004. The current RV that we call home is actually our 3rd one. We started with a travel trailer, which is something you pull behind you, and then went to a 27 foot fifth wheel, which is still a trailer but the hitch point is in the bed of the truck much like a semi truck and trailer. We now have our 34 foot home that has 3 slide rooms, one for the kitchen, another for the dining area and living room and the last one for the bedroom. When we have our slides out we are living in a home that is 34 feet long, 13 feet wide and almost 13 feet tall. We have all of the comforts of any home except in a smaller package. We also have something that a home with a foundation does not have, the ability to change our yard by just moving to another place.

I am a computer programmer that specializes in software designed for management of retail stores. Mary is a retired title 1 teacher from the Rockford IL school system. She is now working at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge TN while I am working on a new wholesale - retail program that will run inside of a web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer.
